La Petite Academy of Trussville

I've been using La Petite on Chalkville Mountain Rd since 2018. 7 years... To be honest, my children have been the most emotionally stable under Janay's leadership. She's got a great team. Not to say that my previous leadership was bad, and I ABSOLUTELY adore the other teachers before this round, but I couldn't help noticing that I don't get any calls from the school about my childrens' behavior. The teachers all seem to have a good relationship with each other and the kids. I really like all of them as well: their demeanors are cheerful and professional. My kids like them. I don't know the director personally, but she's been nothing but professional and communicative towards my husband and I. She has a relatable personality, and I think it's cute how sometimes the kids huddle around her like baby chicks by the time I arrive, lol. Lastly, and most importantly, I will likely keep using La Petite because one of my kids has several severe allergies. She has the least amount of flare ups there.

To be completely honest, this facility started off as a great place for my child. I trusted the environment and felt my child was safe and cared for. However, my experience took a turn when my child’s father began working there as a maintenance employee. During that time, he and the daycare director began a personal relationship—while he and I were still in a relationship—and eventually had a child together. This was kept from me for quite some time. Despite rumors circulating and reaching me, both individuals denied it when I asked them directly. To make matters worse, my child and their child both attended the same daycare, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. Once the truth came to light last week, I made the difficult but necessary decision to relocate my child to a different facility. The teachers are great though.

This daycare has been such a wonderful experience the staff is caring and truly attentive to each child needs I'm so grateful for the peace of mind knowing my little one is in great hands everyday thanks to director Jayna.

It's the worse my kid was traumatized and bullied. They dont pay attention. Over charge you and disregard any complaints made. Please if you love your kid dont bring them here. Such a disappointment. They stay off cameras so you wont see.

I seriously do not understand who in their right mind would willingly allow their child to go this facility. Read the reviews….the only good reviews are from years ago. My child attended for all of 10 minutes. “something” told me to go and get my child. I never left the parking lot before going back in. I go back in he is sitting a table by himself on his first day, crying his eyes out while being stared at by the (horrible) teachers and other children. No one tried to console him, comfort him or anything. It was his first time in daycare and they basically just threw him to the side. I understand the school is full of children, but on his first day you don’t do anything to make him a little comfortable? I pulled my child out and never looked back. I’m not sure if the center director is the same but she needs to go into another field. Disgusting establishment I’m convinced the parents who take their child there have no other option or simply do not care. My child is THRIVING at his current school. He needed no consolation whatsoever. He went inside of his new establishment happy and content. La Petite is a sad excuse for child care.

Do not take your kids to this daycare!!! I witness on many occasions them not feed my 8 month old baby because she wasn’t holding her bottle yet, she also stayed very sick at this place to the point she was very fragile and weak. During this time when she was weak and barely eating they would try to force her to hold her bottle or didn’t feed her they would try to force her to walk or crawl or they’ll leave her on the floor by herself crying or throw her in the crib. The director “Jenny” or Jennifer whatever her name is is very disrespectful she told me my child was under developed as if she had the credentials to say so all while looking like a ex drug addict. The only thing that saved her from putting my hands on her was my child and the rest of the kids around at the moment please don’t send your child here this was months ago and I see she is still there and receiving more complaints. Also I had a family member who attended this daycare years ago and her mother sued because she picked up her kid one day with a busted face and no explanation I wasn’t aware until after our incident here My daughter attended this daycare for a months 2 or 3 days a week
