I have high expectations when it comes to the quality of care that I receive as a patient. My experience today, coming in to establish care as a new patient, was nothing short of excellent. Stellar bedside manner. Compassionate and personable care from every member of the staff. Beautiful, clean, new facilities. Felt safe and supported.

The hospital itself is amazing and the doctors are fantastic. My big complaint is the folks that tell you where to park. My 9 year old son had an appointment with a cardiologist today and when we pulled up to be let in we were told the lot was full. We could clearly see several available spots. My husband had to miss our son’s appointment because of this and us not having the money to pay for parking. We drove from Atmore to Birmingham for this appointment. We watched them let others in after telling us no. This needs to be fixed. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn’t for that. I understand parking is limited but when there is several open spots you shouldn’t turn folks away that are here for an appointment.

I would say my care for the most part was good. There were some mishaps that happened, that could've changed the trajectory of my situation. My appointments were pushed out, after asking not to push them out. I developed some symptoms during the time my appointments were pushed out. One of the doctors were not empathetic to my concerns and it made me feel worse. The parking is terrible and they charge families who have children in the NICU to pay for parking, it should be free. The food is terrible!

Absolutely pleased with every aspect of UAB. After all my daughter has suffered thus far from her high risk pregnancy, I'm truly glad her ob sent her here. Her ob is amazing herself but the hospital EAMC we've been at I wouldn't even give 1 Star. Without going into much detail I can tell you we were judged and stressed to our max which neither was good with her being high risk. After my daughter was done being transferred to UAB we met an amazing team. They were all so compassionate that I just cried because it was amazing to feel like someone cared other than just her ob doctor. The next morning they came in to give ultrasound and even the doctor came in to observe as well, then 4 more came in and at first a little overwhelming. They're an amazing team so I nicknamed them the Seal Team 6. They even printed her some ultrasound pictures in her hospital room. I'm very confident with this hospital. They won't do any test they don't feel necessary 💯 so, they let my daughter go home on bed rest with mild walking around. They want to see her once a week and for us it will be worth 4hrs round trip each week. I recommend this hospital to any expecting mother, even if you're not high risk.

I recently had a delivery here and have been impressed with the exceptional care provided by UAB doctors. They consistently demonstrate kindness, patience, and professionalism. The hospital's service and facilities are also exemplary.

When i had my baby here in September 27 2024 9 months ago had my baby on Sunday 29 at 2:20 in the morning. The people were very sweet and friendly. I loved my doctors so very much and my delivery doctor was amazing even my epidural dr was amazing! Thank you so much i would have my baby their anytime and thank you for delivering my sweet babygirl she perfect and healthy thank you for taking care of me when i was their and for the popsicles to they where good to. UAB is amazing place to have a baby at!
