Gator Boardwalk

The boardwalk is an easy 5 minutes walk north of the parking lot. It is underneath the highway, and there'll be bird droppings. Walk past the highway, the boardwalk forks out left to a trail on far side of the pond (motel side), and the trail on the right (near) side of the pond continues north. I went after 4pm, not busy at all. I stayed over an hour and didn't spot an alligator. Then I cross the street (N Main street) to the other (smaller) side of the pond and voilà! One gator just chilling in the shade and it certainly made my day. I consider myself lucky to see a gator so it's definitely 5*. If I didn't see one - my only goal - the boardwalk itself is 3* as it is rather short. I can't comment on the trails as I just stayed around the pond the whole time. If you go for gators, remember to check the other pond across the street.

Nice place to walk around. We saw one small alligator. Worth taking time for a quick visit.

Didn't see any gators on this hot day but the little boardwalk was nice. If you stay at the Hampton the boardwalk is actually right out front no need to drive to the other side.

Found by accident as we were driving through Daphne, Alabama on the way to dinner. Not much to look at and the board walk is old but taken care of. However . . . We saw a real alligator in the water! For a local it may not be exciting ( like me seeing a moose or a bear) but being a tourist here this was too cool! If you are a none alligator country person too and you are driving through Daphne, stop by and give it a chance.

I've been visiting for years, usually I'm not lucky enough to spot a gator but this time I was delighted to see one. The boardwalk need a little sprucing up but otherwise it's a nice place for a walk.

Bel posto, ma è raro vedere alligatori. Ne abbiamo individuato solo 1 per pura fortuna.

熱死了！ 馬路的兩旁才是木棧道, 車上的速度很快, 即使我按了行人穿越燈, 至少要第三輛車子才停得下來. 鱷魚怕熱躲起來了, 只看到鳥龜, 可是水混濯, 拍不到.

Took the kids while we were in Daphne over to the gator boardwalk, and we saw a baby gator. We love that the city has this setup for free.
