Moores Mill Volunteer Fire Rescue

The members of Moores Mill Volunteer Fire Department don’t receive nearly the credit they deserve. The team itself is phenomenal: dedicated, hardworking, and committed to serving their community. Unfortunately, their leader does not reflect those same values. Instead of uplifting and supporting the department, the leader often undermines morale, discourages participation, and puts personal interests above the good of the members. I truly hope that one day these volunteers will have the kind of leader they deserve, someone who values teamwork, respect, and the community they serve.

I am due any day now with my first baby and wanted my car seat checked by a CPS technician. I called the fire station and left a voicemail. The CPST at the fire department called back a couple of hours later and said he was out of town for training a couple hours away, but that he could make it home by 7pm just to check it for me! He was so kind and checked it before he had to head back out of town!

Lovely group of people serving the local community. They have worked several wrecks in front of my house; they have a MUCH quicker response time than police and they're much kinder and human with those that were in accidents. I'd honestly recommend calling them for emergencies rather than the police unless a HEMSI is necessary. The new sirens though are ungodly. They're deafening and they allow them to be ran late into the night. (Got woken up by one last night at 1AM)

There is a usual 1st responder around our community. I've had 2 rescue issues with my family & with both, there were many complications. This man usually comes with his little supply bag & treats all folks very poor. Also, he usually has a bandanna around his neck. Does anyone know this guy's name?

I'm glad another station is being added on Homer Nance Road adjacent to the Mt Carmel by the River community. This should lower our homeowners insurance cost.

We have GREAT volunteers for our county departments!
