Dollar General

I went to the dollar general on three notch rd in mobile alabama today and had the worst experience. I signed up for the dg coupons today and the female cashier was very rude regarding the questions I had regarding the coupons. She stated to me that she doesn't use the app so she doesn't know how it works. I proceeded to ask her how can I get the best deal with the detergent I was attempting to purchase (should I do a separate transaction to get the discount for 2) she continues to say I don't know i don't use the app and asked why was I challenging her and asked if I was insinuating that she was uneducated. I then said to her that she is insinuating that's what I said and I am simply trying to buy detergent. The manager there on site approached and said the same as her " we don't use the app, we don't know" . As much as I use DG, this was the worst experience that I've encountered at the store. I even asked her why would she work for a company that she didn't promote sales and she stated "i doubt they're hurting". I'm saying this to say as a business owner this was one of the worst customer service I have ever received. Not that I want this to cost her her job as times are hard, this was unacceptable and at 41 this is the first time I've ever had to do a formal customer service complaint. This lady also told another customer that she is only "one person" and she couldn't answer questions while she was on the register. The concern was regarding stray dogs that came into the store. It was 2 dogs that obviously were untamed. This happened on this date roughly at 2p central time. I didn't get her name but she was older. Grey headed. Obviously she hated her job.

Really clean, well organized store! Several employees were busy stocking and straightening shelves, and every single one was polite. The gentleman who ran the checkout was super friendly and helpful as well. A really nice shopping experience!

I like the prices, the variety of merchandise. They are usually easy to get in and out in a timely fashion. However the stores have more stock in the aisles than on the shelves. Some aisles I could not get down. Very annoying. This seems to be common in most of their stores. Come on supervisor let them hire more help.
