Spanish Plaza Park is a delightful spot for those interested in Mobile’s cultural heritage. A Historical Square, celebrating Mobile's ties to it's Sister City (Malaga) in Spain. This park is a very small "green space" in downtown. The large fountain serves as the central feature, but (for me) of greater interest was the statues & informational placards. 😄 The park is well shaded by several large trees & offers a number of concrete benches for seating. Some of the benches are also BEAUTIFULLY decorated. 🤩 . . . . However - that's it folks! That's the totality of this lil square. ** NO Bathrooms ** & *Limited* On Street Parking. It IS ♿ Handicap Accessible - as it's TOTALLY flat with some concrete walkways. . . . Overall, an excellent shady spot for a quick picnic lunch - OR - an EXCELLENT stop, exploring Mobile's ties to Spain & Spanish History of the South.

A quiet oasis right on the edge of downtown Mobile. The fountain is nice and the benches and plaza are decorated with beautiful Spanish tiles. Bring a picnic lunch and watch the traffic zoom past as you unwind on your lunch break. Ideal for chilling, and an easy walk to numerous downtown destinations.

Anyone who gives this rustic plaza anything but a 5 are definitely just projecting their own problems onto a review. Its an enchantment of a place to spend some time. You can get lost in the mosaic stonework and the sound of the water stimulates the mind. Sharp history too! I took HD pictures of the ceramic art imbedded into some of the stone benches.

Right next door to the Carnival Museum this is a haven of peace. Colourfully decorated seats, cooling shade of the trees overhead and the splashing of the fountains a respite from the heat of the day.

A shady oasis of oak trees. I was lucky to find a réal good and free parking spot on this square to walk down to the fort and museums. Real nice historic place.
