I'd like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the remarkable team at Jackson Hospital Emergency Room, including Dr. Richard Sample, RN Mackenzie, RN Hannah, and Cardiologist Dr. Darryl Hamilton, who delivered extraordinary care to my non-verbal autistic son. Despite visits to Baptist East ER, Children's in Birmingham ER, and Children's Hospital in Birmingham, it was Jackson Hospital that truly rose to the challenge and provided the attention he needed. Amidst the scrutiny, I firmly believe that shuttering this facility would be a grave mistake, as the compassion and dedication exhibited by its staff surpasses that of many other hospitals in the area. Their tireless efforts are a testament to the power of genuine care, and l'm compelled to express my deepest appreciation. Keep Up the Great Work !!

Jackson Hospital in MONTGOMERY AL. HAS THE WORST NURSES I've ever had to deal with ever. The CNAs are wonderful with the exception of 1 male that worked all night. I've never seen a more unprofessional group. Gabby was wonderful. I wish I could say the same aboutthe rest staff that were working the night on the 5th floor

On 9-19-25, I visited Jackson Hospital Emergency and had mostly a terrible experience. Upon arrival at the Valet Desk, an elderly white lady hesitantly came to my car and told me I had to come inside. Even after I told her I had a hip problem, she said I'd still need to come inside. I told her never mind and parked in the Clinic's parking lot. It took me mearly 10 minutes to get across the street. On my crutches, I was at risk of more hip damage/potential fall. This was toward the end of the night shift. The young "beauty queens" at the receptionist desk were not a bit too friendly, and I felt that I was intruding into their space. Few said good morning.....In the lab, I spoke, then was told about folks being close to getting off!!....the doctor who treated me said he'd sent a referral to Dr. Spitler's office at UABH for my followup. Well, I called to set an appointment and was told they had no information on me?So, today I am "in the jungle" and my condition is not getting better as I hobble with a fractured hip!! I refuse to tolerate such sorry service at the high cost of medical treatment and inefficient, uncaring services. SOMEONE SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THESE BLUNDERS. REGARDLESS OF SHIFTS BEING WORKED, A MEDICAL TEAM SHOULD PROVIDE KIND, FRIENDLY, AND PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT -- FROM THE FRONT TO BACK DOORS!!$$$ rsp'ly Larry F. Chadwick

0n 10/14/2025 I'm spending the night in Room 634 , there is no air conditioning. Only a very loud portable air conditioning on the floor right next to the bed. Lights cannot be controlled by the bed controllers so I'm in the dark The next time anyone comes in this room I am going to request for a change of room because this is unacceptable. I'm in pain and I cannot move by orders of the doctor and can't get up to turn the air conditioner on which is like I say a portable system very loud. Can't get to the light switch at the door because it is roughly 20 plus ft away. And nothing is controlled by the bed except for the up and down motion of it. I almost feel like I'm in the third world country hospital.

Go to UAB !!!! I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to Jackson Hospital. I came in suffering, in extreme pain, and was completely dismissed and mistreated by the very people who are supposed to help. I told them exactly what works for me and what doesn’t — I made it crystal clear that I cannot tolerate morphine, codeine, or similar medications. Instead of listening, they repeatedly gave me medications that barely touched my pain, leaving me miserable and suffering for hours. The nurses were cold and careless, the doctors couldn’t be bothered, and no one cared about actually helping me. They treated me like I was invisible, like my pain didn’t matter. It felt like I was being punished just for needing help. This hospital is a disgrace. Their lack of compassion, poor communication, and refusal to properly manage patient care is horrifying. I walked in needing help and left feeling completely traumatized. If you care about your health, your dignity, or being treated like a human being — stay far away from Jackson Hospital. They will ignore you, neglect you, and make your situation ten times worse.

I just wanted everyone and anyone else who reads this to know that I have just been released from Jackson today after an 11 day stay in the most awesome care from a hospital I've ever been in, when I arrived I was having a bad heart illness that I have never had before,15 minutes after I was in the ER they hed 3 doctors and 5 nurses working on me,was put into ICU for 8 days and everyone that I had taking care of me treated me so well I felt like I actually had family doing it,they were al very professional but they made me feel like they cared for me and that I wasn't just a number or just a patient, everyone explained anything and everything in terms that I would understand so that I wouldn't be scared or anxious, wasn't made to feel like they were in a hurry to treat me and just send me home, instead made me feel like they weren't going to consider even sending me home until a solution was found, from the doctors to the people that brought me my food,mu whole experience was unbelievably the best thing a hospital could give you,so if you need anything care wise Jackson Hospital is a Godsend 😁💕

Staffing is excellent. Gove great care, with a loving attitude. The only floors that I don’t like are Floor 1, 3, 4 and 5! They are extremely not nice!

My nurses were Amazing NURSE ARYON AND NURSE CARRIE took good care of me THEY ARE PHENOMENAL ! Everyone was pleasant kind the room was clean …. VALET LADY WAS HORRIBLE THE YOUNG MAN CHAD WAS AWSOME
