Summerdale Family Medical Clinic

I am from Gulf Shores and was looking for a clinic that didn’t have a months long wait list for a new patient. I was thrilled when Summerdale Family Medical Clinic was able to see me the next day. The staff were all super nice, my wait times were short, and Amanda Maddox had an incredible bedside manner, listened intently, and made me feel like someone who understands my own body and health. Most of my medical practice experiences have made me feel spoken down to, as if I had no understanding of basic health knowledge. Amanda was the exact opposite of that. She put me at ease, had such a kind spirit, answered my questions, and discussed my issues with me in a way the left me feeling empowered about my next step. This will be my family’s new healthcare provider!

I have been searching for a primary doctor for months for numerous medical issues. I saw Amanda yesterday. It was so refreshing to have someone listen to me and be genuinely show interest in my well beginning. She was so easy to talk too. She immediately got the ball rolling on things that needed to be addressed by specialist. I have finally found a primary care Dr I can trust and that cares for me like a person and not a number. It’s such a huge burden taken off me to know. I have been so worried about my health for so long.

Awesome experience! On Sunday AM I woke up feeling like I might be getting sick.... By Monday AM I felt certain I had a sinus infection and called my primary care Dr. but they couldn't see me. I remembered seeing the sign for Summerdale Family Clinic on 59 and contacted them before they opened thru their website. I was responded to quickly and they got me right after I got off work. There was no wait and NP Amanda Maddox was great. They treated me with antibiotic shot and decongestant and sent me on my way. All the staff there were very pleasant and I felt like I'd been going there for years. I will definitely be back and I will never use any of the urgent cares again!!

I do not want to ever go anywhere else. My feelings and issues are always valid. Nothing is ever brushed off. I feel like I am heard and taken care of properly. I actually trust and feel comfort at this practice. Everyone is so kind, non judgemental, caring, and knowledgeable.

Big-city-quality care (maybe better) in a small town! The office takes walk-in patients like an urgent care center, which was convenient because I was visiting from out of town. Dr. Sanford was friendly, professional and very thorough. His office staff was likewise excellent.

Drove all the way from Fairhope to have a new PCP appointment just to be turned down by Amanda Maddox. As she states” I have to many medical issues” clearly should be in a doctors office if your going to treat patients like that!

The office is reopened with new owners and Amanda Maddox is amazing. She seen almost my entire family over a 2 week period and we all loved the new staff.

Everyone was super nice, and a comfortable office. Felt like my appointment went well and time was given to ask and answer questions. After just one visit I'd say I highly recommend.
