Talk about one of the best water taxi and rental services in Wrangell! We had a group of six + gear and they provided round-trip water taxi service to a USFS cabin, along with two skiff rentals and plenty of other camping gear. Everything was staged and ready for us when we arrived making for a smooth and stress-free kick off to the weekend. I’d highly recommend their water taxi service and gear rentals if you’re planning a self-guided trip around the beautiful Wrangell area. We’ll definitely be using their team every year we visit. A perfect day at Anan Bear Observatory!!!! Our boat Captan was knowledgeable showing us the sites of Alaska. Our guide was very knowledgeable as well and made you feel safe and comfortable for first time Bear viewers. I can not wait for my next adventure with Breakaway

What a perfect day and water trip to Anan Bear Observatory. We were in good hands with our boat captain Peter and guide Colby. Peter made the trip special by pointing out an eagles nest with a sitting eagle. Also, going in close to see harbor seals on the rocks & a couple of moose along the shore. In Berg Bay, for a lunch stop, we enjoyed seeing two brown bears staring at us as we starred at them :). Colby, our guide kept us engaged & talking on the trail (highly recommended!!) Once we got to the Outlook, we were fortunate to see both brown & black bears, 3 baby cubs following Momma & bald eagles trying to snack off Suba Sue's pink salmon . Overall, it was a fabulous adventure. Thank you, Breakaway Adventures!

We booked an E-bike and hiking tour as part of a cruise stop in Wrangell, a small town. We were a family of four with our guide, Peter, who was absolutely fantastic, friendly, informative and showed us many sights and provided commentary. He took us on a long e-bike tour which was enjoyable and a lot of fun. E-Bike is the way to go especially given the up and down terrain. Capped it off with a one hour hike through one of the Wrangell parks. Peter was sensitive to our physical capabilities taking us on a relatively flat gravel trail hike culminating in a stair climb to an observation deck, to see the town of Wrangell and the Bay.
