Wrangell IGA

While on a cruise stop in Wrangell, I wanted to grab some quick supplies for snacking. Decided to check out the IGA. Wow, was pleasantly surprised by the size of the store and the variety. Fruits and vegetables looked great (grabbed a few apples). My main goal was some chips and salsa. As you walk in they have a large display with lots of potato chips, pretzels, crispy snacks and of course the corn tortilla chips I was looking for! Had a pretty good selection of salsas as well! Prices were reasonable and the cashier friendly. Good stop!

Their cashier Bruce sure does love to make sure he noticed how much weight you've gained. Do better Bruce.

Had a variety of different grocery items at a comparable cost. The store was clean the staff was extremely friendly.

Only full sized store open till 8pm, always clean and has friendly staff. Wrangell IGA has the best meat department in town, great cuts, and slightly higher prices on meat, but you are getting much better quality for that you pay. The produce department is on the smaller end but sufficiently stocked with good produce. The shelves stay fully stocked, and even if they don't have what you want, they will likely order it if you ask.

Good local grocery store, which usually has what you're looking for! Prices can be a bit steep...but I also just moved back to this small South East Alaskan island from a big city so the cost of living has been a bit of a shock and quite an adjustment! The store is always clean, the employees are always friendly/helpful and they do try to keep a variety of products other than food in stock. They also carry a small stock of school/office supplies, holiday decorations, some toys/kids items, personal hygiene items, pet food/treats/toys, most items needed for babies and they even have a Kodak photo kiosk that you can print photos off of from your phone! Keep in mind we do live on an island so the 2 grocery stores we have do occasionally run out of things until our cargo jet or barge stops in town to unload! I have no real complaints and only good things to say about this local IGA!!

Great sandwiches at the deli, and the frozen yogurt machine was a neat treat! Staff was friendly, and actually struck up a conversation, which you don't always see in the big cities. While the prices are a bit high, I am pretty sure its the norm for the region.

Lots of variety. I love the produce department here. You can get anything you need here and the meat is always top notch! I won't get my meat anywhere else in town but here....♡
