Absolutely unbelievable. Getting shouted at while Im OUT OF MY ANXIETY MEDICATION because the lead pharmacist doesn't understand whats going on. Ive been out of my benzo script, WHICH IVE HAD FOR YEARS AND NO PROBLEMS WITH at THEIR pharmacy and every other pharmacy has never had a problem with. My psychiatrist is trying to call the walgreens to no avail, my insurance and prior authorization have both sent emails and letters to me (which they say I "can't send to them") explaining I have no NEED for prior authorization.. Oh also, did I mention I had to wait several extra days last month for "prior authorization"? I need another prior Authorization for one ER and one IR? Okay I got that. Now they're telling me I need prior authorization to be given two benzos at once(the same drug, XR and IR formulation) when Ive had the same insurance for almost a year, same prescriptions for years, and years of old prescriptions that they can look back on and dispense. They used to give me both at THIS Walgreens, were they breaking their own rules when they did that? Again, in the years of being prescribed these two formulations, being prescribed at the same place, I go until THIS single Walgreens all of a sudden has a problem. I ask them to talk to my insurance. They said they called, they say they'll call your doctor but to no avail. Somehow THEY cant explain to insurance the issue. THEY cant do anything but dispense pills I suppose. Whats the point at having anything but the techs working if you cant contact doctors, insurance, or do anything except scream at someone who is in medical withdrawal from prescriptions that until now have been perfect. When I was talking to anyone that wasnt the female lead pharmacist whos anger was palpable when I said my first and last name, there was no problem. Someone even filled my XR on 2/7 which was 4/5 days early yesterday, which is the prescription last month they said I needed prior authorization for. Guess it worked that time? This woman who is shouting at people, and it seems all my fellow reviewers get the same treatment, has no place working anywhere near medicine or people being treated with mental illness or physical health pain. It'd be a real shame if corporate doesn't check these reviews because I genuinely feel bad with anyone who has that womans incredibly short temper to deal with, coworker or "patient". I will be following up on that with my insurance. I used to feel bad at how they were treated due to how quickly id get my two SAME PRESCRIPTIONS every month there. Now I understand the frustration. Its not with the techs, its with the pharmacy staff that doesn't give a shit if you're dying or will have a seizure. They'll just yell at me that my insurance is wrong, my doctor is wrong, and im wrong but they wont contact a provider or do a god damn thing. This pharmacy is a serious problem and if you need CONSISTENT refills on medication let me save you the trouble and say GO TO ALBERTSONS! THEY WILL LET YOU CASHPAY AS WELL, if you want to go off insurance. They don't even let you here - the reason is simply we cant do that. Sounds like they just dont WANT to. Im sure there will now be some "problem" picking up my one prescription there next month as my name is associated with this review. It is worth them hating me, someone needs to see this and CHANGE IT. Your lead pharmacist should never be yelling at me and my mother on MULTIPLE occasions, so unprofessional. No offers to call my doctor or insurance, who were both ready, she said it will change nothing if the doctor or insurance calls - really? My doctor and the insurance company (who they say is why they cant dispense it), are ready and willing to talk and this lead pharmacist woman is yelling at me no. The sheer EGO on this woman, to tell me that the PRESCRIBER and INSURANCE wouldn't be able to call her to tell her to fill it is outrageous. She refused a solution to her OWN problem. Hopefully this one will get shutdown like Thompson Peak. I pray for it after the suffering they've caused me and so many others.
