Happy Horse & Dog Pet Resort

We HIGHLY recommend Darlene and Steve at Happy Horse & Dog Pet Resort!! We were vacationing in Kanab, Utah and needed to board our 30# Labradoodle for two nights. I called Darlene and she answered all my questions and put my mind at ease (Doodle Mom ;-D). When we arrived, Darlene met us outside and gave us the "grand tour." We were very impressed with their facility and how well they kept their property. Darlene sent us update videos and photos which was wonderful! Our girl has allergies and so she needs medicine and supplements daily. Darlene gave them with no issues. When we picked up our girl she was one happy and tired Doodle. All I can say is Darlene went above and beyond with her care for our girl!!

Good for small dogs! Leather couches, steps and toys! Outside runs separate from big dogs. Personal, responsive care near Kanab UT and North Rim.

We Moved to Kanab almost 3 years ago and soon after we moved we needed to take a trip and could not take our dog with us, being new I was very worried as I had no idea who to call, I found Happy Horse & Dog Pet Resort on Kanab Classifieds and called, made a site visit with Darlene and Steve , right away I saw how much they love the animals and got real good vibes, my Dog Angel has been there 5 times for different lengths of times and never had an issue. She was very well treated, spoiled infact. I could not ask for anything better. I am so glad we found Darlene & Steve. I’m visiting Kanab,Utah and needed someone to watch my 4 month old puppy while I did a helicopter ride in Zion. I chose this place because Darlene’s pet resort is a safe and fun place for my puppy to stay. It is affordable and she took care of my puppy like it was her own. Thank you Darlene, next time we visit we’ll be sure to give you a call. :)

This was my first time boarding my pup and I did not regret it one bit! Very glad I brought him to this resort. Darlene and her husband were very professional and made the whole process of boarding my dog easy. She even sent me pictures of him while I was out in Zion, which gave me a peace of mind. When picking up my dog, he did not want to leave and started crying when Darlene and her husband started walking away. This just shows how much they care for these creatures and I will be definitely coming back to them in the future. Highly recommened to anyone visiting Zion and other parks as almost no places allow dogs to be in them. Thank you both so much for taking great care of my pup!

If I could give 20 stars, I would! Darlene is knowledgeable, caring, kind and wonderful! Our dog had a great 2 nights there. And when we brought her back for day care 2 days later, her tail was wagging like crazy and she couldn’t wait to go back in! Absolutely recommend!! Pics we got were appreciated, too!!

Top notch, caring, safe, clean, professional, and responsive are just a few words that come to my mind when I think of our experience with Happy Horse and Dog. Darlene and Steve took amazing care of our high energy border collie while we enjoyed the Grand Canyon. Our dog "Bormio" expressed a little concern when we dropped her off but Darlene was so calm and clearly knew how to handle our dog - or any dog for that matter. Bormio very soon became comfortable and it was clear to us that she has a great time and was treated very well. The communication was also fantastic, when we first inquired about boarding we sent some questions and got a response promptly. During Bormio's visit, we were sent pictures and updates via text. I would absolutely recommend Darlene and Steve to anyone who needs daycare or boarding while traveling or on a regular basis for locals. I can't wait to use Happy Horse and Dog again!
