I've been here so often, can't believe I haven't written a review yet 😅 This is my favorite place! Anytime I've brought in something to trade I feel like I'm getting a great deal, same as when I'm making a purchase. The staff are very friendly and take time to get to know their customers; since I love Sonic, anytime I come in they point me right to any new Sonic items. Nearly everyday they get something new in so there's something for everyone. I love this place so much, I'm here nearly every week!! 10/10

Went to this place to sell a game. I didn’t take the offer but they said the offer is open if I wanted to come back for the same offer in the future so I did a month later. I came back and they changed their mind on the first offer they gave me and gave me a cheaper offer from before. They don’t stick to their word. Just gave me excuses for why they couldn’t stick to the same price. Greedy people & then you reply just give me the same excuses you told me in the store I never mentioned the word promise. Yall gave me you’re word from the person working in there. waisted time and gas

My daughter made me come her with one day and I bought myself a gameboy. I don’t leave the house often so I have my daughter sends me pictures if things I might want. The staff was so nice to me and answered all my q questions and everyone was so helpful, I can’t wait to get the rest of my games!!

Retro Exchange will give you the lowest amount of trade in as possible. I brought in around 5k in Pokémon cards they weren’t in the nicest condition, but even at the condition they were it was still like 1200 after trade if they were doing 50% or even a little less than that $600 or $500 I got 100 bucks. I have found one too many resealed items sold for brand new prices. I would never support these guys ever again. I used to go weekly now it’s never.

I got a product from here earlier today, after leaving the store and inspecting it closer I found it wasn’t what I had expected. Upon return, the gentleman working helped me seamlessly and smoothly exchange it for another product. Terrific customer service!

We visited Retro Exchange yesterday with the simple goal of buying Pokémon Sword. What should have been a quick and easy purchase turned into a complete disaster. The employee helping us couldn’t even open the game case to verify its contents — something that should be a basic part of selling used games. As a result, we ended up with the wrong game entirely: Super Smash Bros., not what we asked for or agreed to purchase. We realized the mistake right away and called them immediately — we live 50 minutes away. We were told the manager would be in the next day and that we’d receive a call. No call ever came. We followed up ourselves, only to be told that we were basically lying about the whole situation and that we’d need to drive all the way back (a two-hour round trip) just to prove their mistake. To make matters worse, they accused us of dishonesty, even though we were more than willing to mail the game back — a game that, ironically, is worth more than the one we paid for. That’s right: they gave us a higher-value game by mistake, and we offered to return it via mail, but were met with suspicion and attitude instead of customer service. This is either gross incompetence or intentional fraud, and either way, it’s unacceptable. Do yourself a favor: DO NOT shop at Retro Exchange. The staff is careless, the management is unresponsive, and the policies are shady at best. Absolutely awful customer service and a complete lack of accountability.

Good luck getting any help in this place. Not once have i not have to track someone down to get items. The pokemon card section is the absolute worst. Never even seem to be present or working and no one else will care to let you know what is going on, should you wait, come back later. This happens nearly everything I come to this place. If you are not a part of JandJ I would get far far away. They are ruining your shared store front

I used to be a huge fan of this toy store but recently when I went to sell some vintage naruto Mattel figures, 2 black series obi wan kenobi’s, sonic 3 figures, vintage rocky balboa figures, a vintage 2002 toybiz wolverine and a funko pop. They LOWBALLED the heck out of me. It was a total of 14 figures and they only offered me about $30. That’s an average of $2.14 per figure… so naturally I negotiated and asked them for more and asked why they offered me so little. I was talking business with the guy with ginger hair and glasses (he’s really cool). When this other employee came out of nowhere and told me VERY RUDELY he’s the one who went over my figures and came up with the price. He said that my figures weren’t very desirable at all and that they hold no value whats so ever in the most rudest way and then just walked away. He made me super mad. It was so bad that even his coworker (the guy I was originally talking to) got awkward. Luckily, I kept my cool and just told the guy I wasn’t interested in selling and left. Idk who this guy is but he’s not a good face for the company. He’s very nonchalant and acts like he doesn’t care. If I was the owner I’d get rid of him immediately. He’s destroying the stores image. It’s safe to say they lost a loyal customer and l I’ll definitely be sharing my experience with other collectors in my area.
