Summit Healthcare Urgent Care

My husband and I have been here 3 times between the two of us in the past year and a half or so. We have had great providers all 3 times (all different). They have all been knowledgeable, efficient, and sympathetic. And the young man at the desk really impressed us. He answered several calls while we were in the waiting room, and he was helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. This urgent care seems to be doing a great job with their hiring!

Went in with sore throat. Nurse rammed the sample stick down my throat jab ing all around making me bleed. Worst care ever.

Horrible, told me 1.5 hr wait, came in 1/2 time (45min) they had cancelled my appt. VERY UNRELIABLE

PA that was there today was AWESOME ! she knows here stuff !

I first went to Lakeside Banner Urgent Care. Fellow at the front desk was unwelcoming and rude with smug remarks. I had a few questions, he was not attempting to be genuinely helpful in any way. I decided to take my business here instead. The Lady at the front desk was very warm and welcoming. Even though I ended up needing to take my son to the ER instead, due to insurance issues, She was extremely helpful. She genuinely cared and our experience was a 100% difference from Banner. Thank you Summit ❤️

I had a great experience it the Urgent Care today. I was treated by Travis . He took the time to listen to my concerns and helped me make the best medical decision for myself. This is the second time I have been taken care of by Travis. The experience from the receptionist , nurse and Doctor is how you want to be treated.

The staff was nice, but I took my son in for a suspected corneal abrasion/possible foreign body. The nurse practitioner took a quick look at his eye and asked questions about drainage, pain, etc. She offered me the option of a prescription for an antibiotic. I asked if they had a slit lamp (the piece of equipment used to closely examine the eye) and she said they do not. She went on to explain that if they had a slit lamp, they would be able to diagnose eye problems and would then be obligated to treat them, so they instead refer patients to the ER. I will not return to this facility. I have been told that Banner Urgent Care does have a slit lamp and can treat minor eye injuries. I won’t go to Summit Urgent Care again for any reason.

I had to go on 11-9-2022. Thought I had a cold and was getting worse. I was treated by Dr.Jay Kempton who gave me excellent care with compassion and concern. Had my lungs xrayed to rule out pneumonia. Said he would call as soon as he got the results then he would order my prescriptions. Called me within an hour and my medication was ready to be picked up at Walmart.
